Atlantic City is ranked #6 in "Top 10 Golf Cities in America" by Forbes Traveler

Atlantic City was ranked #6 by Forbes Traveler in the recent article "Top 10 Golf Cities in America". There was an illustrious list of golf cities that accompanied Atlantic City including Myrtle Beach, Scottsdale/Phoenix, Chicago and Orlando to name a few. Forbes Traveler generated the list by consulting leading golf writers, editors and local experts. They asked them what makes up a "Great Golf City" and the response was that the city needs to have a concentration of courses, both good public and private courses with a contribution to the history of golf.

This is where Atlantic City comes into play. There are more than (10) 4 star or better public golf courses in the area and home to (3) of the top 100 private courses in the country. The history also plays a vital role in Atlantic City as Atlantic City Country Club is the birth place of the term "Birdie" and Seaview Resort and Spa has been the host site for numerous professional tour events with winners that include Sam Snead and Annika Sorenstam. Now it's very easy to see why Atlantic City met the criteria of the "Top 10 Best Golf Cities in America".
